RECREATION SOCCER

There are opportunities to play soccer all year around for those who just can't get enough of the game. If you are one of these people check out these additional opportunities. You can play soccer in the summer and winter when travel teams are not being fielded.

Winter Soccer (Indoor Soccer)
Family First Sports Park Indoor Soccer
Family First runs several indoor soccer programs during the winter season. PASC registers a few teams for these indoor programs. All of the Indoor Soccer program details can be found by clicking here.

If you are a PASC player talk to your coach about playing on a team. The indoor soccer teams are not affliliated with PA West.
General Description
Indoor soccer is played within an enclosed arena composed of an artificial turf, goals that are built into the walls at each end, and walls surrounding the playing field. Each team fields 6 players at a time including the goalie. It is up to the coach how to set up the players' positions.

Indoor soccer is a fast-paced game. Substitutions are done "on-the-fly" (no stopping of the game) when needed. There are no offsides in indoor soccer and when the ball leaves the playing area, restarts are done by a kick-in rather than a throw-in.

There are a few other differences from 11-sided soccer played on an open field. For more information about indoor soccer, how it is played, and the rules governing its play click here. (link will be added soon)
